Biography

I am based in Hampshire UK, close to the Jurassic coast of Dorset and the wildlife of the New Forest. These places give me inspiration. I love noticing the colours and patterns in nature.

When I am not painting seascapes or landscapes, I’m enjoying painting small creatures, plants, animals and people.

Animals in particular are fun, as they have a lot of character and personality!

I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in the 1990s with a 2:1 Fine Art Degree. I rented a studio for about 10 years after that.

I took the route of professional Mental Health Nursing for about 20 years before returning to painting.

I have worked from home since 2020.
